Soccer Helping Kids Stay Away From Trouble

Soccer is very popular in poor countries, neighborhoods, and locations where the money is an issue, simply because it’s very cheap to play. A lot of people use this to embrace the benefit aspect of kids playing soccer with their friends instead of getting involved in stupid stuff. Therefore, there has been tons of programs directed to soccer and young adults. Back home, in Sweden, they keep the lights on late into the night to keep young adults at the soccer fields with their friends, instead of getting involved in drugs, alcohol, or criminal activities

Obviously, this is used for every sport. In countries in Africa, South America, Europe, and Asia soccer is the most popular sport, therefore, they naturally chose soccer as the first alternative. In the United States, I would assume that basketballs are the most common sport played in poor areas. However, this is really important to keep kids playing sports instead of getting involved in criminal activities. More people should realize the benefit aspect of introducing sports to kids at an early age.

Matches Being Decided by Penalties

In a lot of important games, the games end in a tie and go straight to penalties. There has been a lot debating if there could be a more sufficient way to get a winner in the important games because there is basically a 50 percent chance of wining. There is not really a way to prepare for penalties, it all comes down to the mental strength of the players.

The most common suggestion is to let the players play overtime until a team scores the first goal. The only problem is that it could take a long time for the game to finish.

Personally, I really enjoy the excitement in a shootout. When it all comes down to the last penalty, you’re sitting nervous and either the disappointment or the rush of happiness if your team save or score the penalty. I think shootouts should be part of soccer if there isn’t any other suggestion that would replace it.

The Struggle With Matchfixning in Soccer

In the last couple of years there has been a recent discovery of a major problem in soccer. Since betting money became introduced in lower division in soccer, there has been a lot of attention around criminals that are threatning players, referees, and coaches to either lose or win for them to make money on these games.

This is common in other sports as well, but lately there has been a lot of incidents regarding soccer. In Europe, betting is legal and it takes two minutes to go in and put money down on a team. Therefore, criminals have discovered the opportunity to make money on this. They can control a whole game if they get the referee to make calls that will turn the game to one team. Or if they get a player, they can control the game by giving away the ball, making own goals, or taking a redcard.

This usually takes place at games with barely any media attention, therefore, they go to the lower division games. I think you should be able to bet money on games, but only in the professional leagues. Otherwise it is a lot easier for criminals to go through. Hopefully, governments will make more restrictions regarding betting in non professional leagues, which will lead to less incidents.

In this example, it’s clear to say that the goalkeeper is not doing his best to stop the ball.

Amazon Alexa Echo Speaker

Amazon is one of the biggest company in the world. In the last year, they have launched a new product that has been very successful in the market. This product is Amazon Alexa Echo Speaker.

The echo speaker industry is a growing industry all over the world. The products are making developments every year, and technical knowledge is becoming greater each year. The industry can be divided up into two sections: personal use and company use. For personal use its most commonly used to help with day to day activities. For company use, it is used to make the offices more efficient. Amazon Alexa is the leading product that contributes to personal and business use.

The figure explains how Alexa is dominating the market.

Positive Features – Amazon Alexa Echo Speaker.
  • Answer questions – both factual questions and more simplified questions
  • Control light and thermostats
  • Long distance voice recognition
  • Strong tool for handicap people

Amazon Alexa has a lot more skills and positive features than there competitors. That is why Alexa is dominating the market. People rather buy Alexa than other Echo speakers.

This product has a huge potential to conquer New England and the world. Right now, they control 63% of the market and there is no reason why that would change. Their artificial intelligence research is far ahead than that of the competitors. This product will not only bring a fun social aspect but also make it easier for companies to do business. Amazon Alexa speaker is perfect for society’s needs and worldwide success, based on the statistics and findings.

I recommend marketing this product in New England as soon as possible. It is already a huge product, but it hasn’t caught on in New England yet. I believe if this product will be marketed in New England it will do very well. Because Amazon already is a big company, they could afford to try to market themselves in New England television, newspapers, and technology articles.

What Will Soccer Look Like in the Future?

If you were somehow transported 50 years into the future, what changes would be made in soccer?

Firstly, there has been a lot of concerns regarding concussion lately, and they might make it mandatory to wear a helmet, and I think fewer people will go watch the games, because of the increasing technology. The quality of the streaming of the games is increasing, therefore, more people won’t go to the games and instead watch it at home.

One topic that I got really fascinated about is the virtual reality in soccer. A lot of people believe that virtual reality will be a big aspect of soccer in the future. That will make the watching experience incredibly. A lot of people argue that it might ruin the traditional aspect of the game, but some people say that it will be an amazing experience for everyone. In the future, they will design it so it feels like you’re on the field with the players while watching the game. I agree that it might ruin the game a little bit, but I can see the cool aspect of it as well. As the years go on everything becomes more digital, and I think it is just a matter of time until soccer will become very technology-based as well. Last year, VAR(video assistant referee) got introduced to the game and that was just the beginning.

Even though soccer will become more digital in the future, I hope that won’t ruin the charm in watching soccer.

In the picture, you can see how virtual reality in soccer might look in the future.

Is Violence Destroying Soccer?

Bildresultat för hooligan

In a lot of parts in the world, there is a lot of violence in soccer. It is most common in Europe, but also in some parts of South America and Asia. In Europe, it’s most common in England and also where I am from, Sweden. This kind of violence is known as “hooliganism”, and refers to violent, destructive behavior in, before, or after a game of soccer. The persons involved in this are usually part of a “firm”, which is like a gang but only with criminal behavior in soccer games. The most common violence is either trying to interfere with a soccer game or fighting the opposing fans. These “hooligans” are usually normal people with a regular job but turn into a totally different person during a soccer event.

This has been a problem for a long time, innocent people are getting hurt and a lot of people have died because of soccer violence. Some people are afraid of bringing their kids to soccer. It has to be more controlled and eventually totally disappear. The only solution is to increase the criminal charges regarding violence in soccer. If the law’s of criminality in soccer would become stricter, fewer people would like to be involved. Because most of the hooligans are not full-time criminals. They would realize the risk, and therefore, more people would not get involved.

In the future, I hope we will experience soccer without any violence. That would enhance its reputation, make it more enjoyable to watch, and would increase the experience in watching a soccer game.

Will Soccer Ever Become the Biggest Sport in the U.S?

Soccer is by far the biggest sport in the world. It is completely dominating, except in some parts of the world. Here in the U.S, soccer is probably not even top 5 played or watched sport. According to Filip Bondy, is soccer a growing sport in the U.S. It is predicted to get past baseball in a short future.

Although soccer is growing, the sport is facing a lot of barriers. Media is much more likely to highlight hockey or football than soccer. When media barely reports about it, people assume that it is a minor sport in the U.S. For example, Atlanta United FC had an average of 53,000 attendance last season. That is a big number and probably beat a lot of sports in the U.S.

To Summarize, I think that soccer could make it to the top 3 sports in the U.S, but I think it will never beat either American Football or Basketball. The future could be bright for soccer in the U.S. One factor that could play a huge role if soccer becomes bigger is if media starts reporting more about the sport and if the national team would become better. More people will get interested if the United States does well in the World Cup.

Biggest Celebration in the World; Soccer World Cup

There is nothing more special for me personally than the World Cup. One day, I  hope to go to a World Cup in person. As Reuben Gready explains “Football is said to have the power to bring people together, regardless of their age, race, gender, culture, or nationality, and that is never truer than at the World Cup”. For a couple of weeks, the world stands still. Even some people travel to the hosting country just to party and enjoy the celebration.

The World Cup is shown in every country in the world. In the last World Cup, in Russia, 4 billion people watched it. That is half of the world population. That is crazy thinking about how enormous that is.

Also, the World Cup has the ability to ease political tension. In 1998, Iran and the United States were in the same group. People were afraid that it would lead to a disaster and create even more tension between the countries. The teams acted professional and the game went on smoothly. As the United States defender, Jeff Agoos, said after the game the players “did more in 90 minutes than the politicians did in 20 years”. That demonstrates the effect the World Cup has and how it brings countries together.

One day I hope to experience a World Cup myself. Not just to enjoy soccer, but to enjoy the festivities and learn about other cultures.

Why is soccer the most popular sport in the world?

Soccer has been the world most popular sport for very long. Both watching your favorite club or playing with friends. How did soccer become the most popular sport? First, unlike many other sports, it’s very cheap to play. All you need is a par of clothes, shoes, and a soccer ball. Therefore, soccer is very popular in third world countries.

Second, It’s an international competition. No sport is like worldwide as soccer. Almost every country in the world got their national competing to play in the world. Even Lichtenstein, with a population of 37.000 people got a team competing against nations like Germany and Italy. When the world cup took place last summer, 4 billion people watched the tournament. That is half of the population on the world.

Third, soccer is very easy to learn. Two teams move the ball on the field and try to score on each other. That makes it very easy for kids to start to play and grow up with it. A lot of people choose to continue playing soccer because they got taught playing at an early age.

Lastly, it is very accessible. If you want to play with friends, all you need to find flat ground. I remember growing up I was playing soccer on our metalled road just outside our house. To summarize, I think soccer will be the most popular sport for generations to come, because of all the reasons I just explained.

The Big Debate: Soccer or Football?

It is a known fact that people in Europe, especially in England, hate when “football” is called “soccer”. The debate usually gets more intense every four years, when the World Cup takes place. People start to ask, why doesn’t the same sport have the same name throughout the world?

The term originally came from Britain and is based on the official name of the sport, “association football”. The only countries in the world where football is called soccer right now are the following: Australia, New Zealand, and The United States. The reason the word started is that is because they needed a new term of football in New Zealand. They started playing rugby, which became way more popular than soccer, therefore, they decided to switch to soccer. Same goes for Australia and the United States. Although, in the United States football is different than rugby.

Anyhow, the word originally came from Britain and then caught on to different countries. I think it is weird that people from England despise the word when they originally invented it. However, does it really make a difference if we call the same sport different names in some parts of the world? In my opinion, not really, but I have always known this sport as football and that’s what I will keep saying.
